Google to help high-street search start-up find all of UK


A London-based start-up that aims to make it as easy to search for products in high street shops as it is on Amazon has partnered with Google to roll out across the UK.

NearSt, which was founded three years ago by former digital consultants Max Kreijin and Nick Brackenbury, produces an app that allows people 
to find local stores that sells the 
item that they want, check that it is in stock and find the best route to get there.

The company is now looking to raise £2m to fund its expansion having already raised £1.3m from investors, including the venture fund YYX which is headed by Simba Sleep founder James Cox. The idea for the business came when a light bulb in Mr Krejin’s living room blew…
