Microsoft is testing a new feature for their Bing search engine which would help users doing a lot of research and who need to read and compare many website pages.
Noticed by WindowsLatest, the new “Click here to open in a new tab” icon would let users open a web page in a new tab without having to left click and choosing that option.
Bing already lets you set “Open in new tab” as a global option for all links, but this is likely under-used, firstly because most people won’t know about it and secondly because this is unhelpful for most searches where only one page is usually opened.
The feature appears to be in A/B testing and is not currently available to most users.
